What's in my Bag this Spring?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I do know that the contents of my handbag/totebag/backpack changes with the seasons. Sure, there is always the year round mainstays but with the change in temperatures, in what we are wearing and what we need for on the go, I have to make sure I am prepared for any occasion... especially this year, being that it's 2012 and we may very well see the end of days, if the Mayans have any say in it. So what's in my Spring bag you ask?

Miracle Skin Transformer Treat and Conceal®, Dude, if you haven't tried this before, you have to. Just a dab will do but this stuff is hard core coverage for those effing pesky blemishes that won't stay covered with your normal foundation or pressed powder. This stuff covers and acts as a treatment for those unwelcome guests. Totally worth the money, swear it. ($36.00 online or at Ulta/Sephora)

First of all, don't hate. I always carry deodorant with me. Believe me, if I didn't have to, I wouldn't... but with the change of weather and the pretty good chance that I might get a little sweaty, it is always a good choice to have some back up. My new favorite deodorant right now is the new Dove® Clear tone Anti-Perspirent/Deoderant. The professionals say "Offers prescription strength wetness protection with the maximum level of active ingredients (20%) available without a prescription" and I believe it. Not only is it prescription strength but it does the trick quick and was created to even skin tone as well. I love when my beauty products do double duty.($7.00-$8.00 at your local drugstore)

Extralasting Pressed Powder from Avon, yes Avon. I received a sample of this pressed powder a long time ago when I was writing for The Fashionable Housewife. I loved it so much that I have been using it ever since. The coverage is similar to that of bare minerals but this is something I can carry in my purse with me and I don't have to worry about the possible powder explosion. Even coverage in multiple different shades... can't go wrong with that!  ($8.99 online or from your local Avon representative)

A notebook and pen: This is extremely important for me to carry with me lately. Not only am I in design school but I am planning a wedding and also trying to build this blog. If I have an idea and have nowhere to put it, I can either write it or draw it right in my handy notebook. This is an every season inclusions, at least it will be for the foreseeable future.

Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment, this I received in my Birchbox and I have to say, I was pleasently surprised by this lip balm. Being that there is so much competitions for our lips' attention, it takes a lot for me to impressed. This stuff moisturizes, has an SPF 15 aaaaaand is tinted. I can wear this alone or put it on over my lip color of the day. ($22.50 online or in Sephora stores)

Blonde Bobby Pins, like GOODY Color collection, are a must have for my bag in ANY season (well, except the one where I was a redhead). These, along with a good quality hair tie (in a neutral color) must always be on deck for a hair style change at a moments notice. I have been known to straighten my hair down so sleekly and by midday, if it's a hectic one, this hair has got to be contained and secured STAT. Also, on a more complex hair day, the extra help may be needed if I underestimated the amount needed. Any way you slice it, these are a must. ($4.95 online and at any drugstore)

Evian Facial Spray is the BEST way to refresh after a stressful day or an exercise class (I should know since recently starting hot yoga). I like to keep it on me because if you need to "splash some water on your face" it might as well be Evian, am I right? ($11.00 online but I got mine in a double pack for the same amount at Sephora)

Old Navy Flip Flops, Now that the weather is starting to get warmer, these are the perfect option for a late night on the town where those heels are just getting to be too much. They are also perfect for after the gym or just cause you feel like changing into them. Old Navy has so many colors that why not get a few to fit in with what you know you'll wear. I always make sure I have a black, gray, white and brown pair in the house at all times. In the bag? One pair will do. ($3.94 online and in stores, although wait a little while and you will be able to get them 2 for $5.00)

What's a must have for your Spring Bag?

* I may have received product for sampling but my opinion is 100% my own. I would never share information with you if I didn't deem the product worthy or the information valuable.

  1. Fun post! I love seeing what people carry around with them.  I love those Old Navy flip flops, I have like 5 pairs of them, and I live in them around the house! I always carry a pen and small notebook or sketchbook with me, as well.  You never know when you'll need it!

The Fresh Tinted Lip Balm is amazing! Been using it for a while now and have it in ever color. A little pricey but totally worth it.
