A Prim and Propah Trip to Seattle

The man and I just recently took a trip to Washington State. Neither of us had been before, we wanted to take that "one last trip" before the baby comes and also, one of my oldest friends was recently relocated to outside of Seattle ... all the very best reasons that we could think of to make the 6 hour trek across the US. We had a great time, especially since there were up to 3 snow storms while we were gone and a good Samaritan snow blowed our driveway after each one... trip made! We visited, we ate, we went sight seeing and we laid in bed watching the Olympics. It was pretty much a great week. Want to see some snapshots from our trip?

The Best of Barely There #BestYearYet

I am happy to announce that I am in an awesome program called the Barely There Blog Squad. We are lovers of our intimates and most importantly, lovers of our Barely There intimates. I was first given a taste of Barely There at last year's Blog Better Boston Style Summit and have been a hug fan ever since. The folks over at BT shared goodies with my readers over the holidays and are now ready to have the best year yet!

Outfit Post: Boston Blogger Dinner

This past Tuesday, there was a dinner to attend and in order to attend said dinner, I had to dress up the baby bump. Now for anyone who is or has been preggers, dressing up the bump can be a challenge not only physically and literally but also for the self esteem. It's hard to wear something with confidence and feel good about yourself when you are gaining weight in all the wrong places, well except that actual bump. I think I managed to pull off something worth showing off and I wore heels, which unfortunately we didn't get a picture of haha but overall, the man did well capturing the evening's look.

Geeking Out Over Rodarte Fall 2014 Ready to Wear

For anyone who knows me and my husband, they know that we are lovers of many things, one of favorites being Star Wars; the originals not the new chapters obvi. So imagine my surprise/delight today when I caught wind of the latest Rodarte collection to hit the runway. Now I have always loved what Rodarte brings to the table... fun, funky, edge and something always interesting. The Fall 2014 ready to wear collection? It takes it to the next level... the Star Wars level. I am talking actual Star Wars graphics on floor length gowns. To the Hollywood starlets looking to make a statement come Fall, I will respect you waaaaay more if I see Yoda on your red carpet look, just sayin'.

What do you think of the ever funky Rodarte's latest line?

Peter Pilotto for Target, Did You Snag Anything?

So I would say that I am not going to fight for designer collabs and really, I don't but at the end of the day, do I end up getting what I want from designer collabs? Of course, I do... I have the fashion angels on my side ;-). I had my eye on some of the Peter Pilotto for Target items because man, those prints are eye catching. Currently, I am with child, so there aren't terribly too many options that I can partake in but I did set my sites on a bag, cardigan and those sassy sneaks... and with a little panache and my Target Red Card, these babies are all mine.
Peter Pilotto for Target Beach Tote, $39.99, Peter Pilotto for Target Color Block Cardigan, $34.99, Peter Pilotto for Target Slip on Shoe, $29.99

What, if anything, did you snag?

Nesting Can Be Dangerous for the Change Purse

I think that even before I got pregnant, I had a good shopping instinct ;-). Now that I am pregnant? I am downright dangerous with a credit card. Besides the recently obsessive cleaning, I really just want to buy things all the time. I stopped off at Ann Taylor Loft on my way to Trader Joe's the other day, on a whim and bought three dresses on clearance with an additional 50% off. Will they fit me in a month's time? Nope. Did it feel good to buy them? Hells yes it did.

I have to categorize my recent shopping/hoarding/nesting instincts into different categories in order to justify the recent bulge in expenses and to my husband, who is currently in a world of hurt trying to keep up with me and ever changing emotions/ideas/shopping habits, this can help him get a bigger picture ;-)
