Outfit Post: The Wedding
I thought I would continue sharing some of our awesome wedding photography for those who were interested. My photographer, Alvah Reida, was super awesome about catching everything that I wanted, which included my wedding outfit. Obvi, I had to do the ultimate in outfit post for you guys, though this ensemble is something that I will never wear together again... though I will say that this ASOS blazer matched my Valentino booties perfectly, it was almost like kismet... I think jeans and a tee are in order in the future. And my super special jewelry will make an appearance too <3 font=""> Anyhow, check it after the jump.

The Wedding Shoes by Valentino
I got our wedding pictures back a couple weeks ago but hadn't gotten a chance to set up any posts to show you guys any of the awesome decor, action shots and somewhat importantly, the outfit. Since I have yammered on about these shoes, I thought I would make this the official first post in a small series devoted to my wedding pictures. Listen, I am not going to shove them down your throat. I just think our photographer, Alvah Reida, did such an awesome job that I had to share with you guys. Introducing the shots dedicated to my very special shoes.

My Dream Wedding Shoes... and How I Changed my Mind
You guys can probably remember me talking about some special Valentino shoes. Last time I talked to you guys about them, I told you that I wasn't going to get them. The time before that, I basically expressed my obsession and how I had to have the shoes, no ifs ands or buts about it. Needless to say, it has been a tumultuous ride for me and these Valentino dream machines. So I know what you are thinking... well? Did you get the stupid shoes? Well, yes I did.

Fave Looks from Met Gala 2012
The Met Ball was tonight and O.M.G. was there ever fashion. What is the Met Gala you ask? Well I took the initiative to copy and paste the Wikipedia entry right here for you: "The Costume Institute Gala (or Costume Institute Ball), known as the Met Ball and nicknamed the "Oscars of the East Coast", is an annual ball that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. The red carpet evening where celebrities arrive dressed to impress is described as the fashion industry's "Night of Nights". Fashion industry experts and style magazines consider the event, which is hosted by Vogue, to be the fashion world's best red carpet event. It is regarded as the top annual social event in New York City.
The event has been an annual affair at the Met since 1948 (the year in
which the Costume Institute was founded), but it has been held in
different parts of the museum over the years."
So what did I love fashion wise?

My Dream Wedding Shoes... and Why I Didn't Get Them
In the quest of having the most perfect and memorable wedding ever, it must be said, that a bride's shoes must never be overlooked. This is my belief anyhow. It is this belief that has had me on a quest to find the Valentino shoes that Jessica Biel wore to their Spring 2012 show in October of 2011. You may remember this post and then my reminder in my wedding shoe post about how much I was/am in love with these shoes. To say that I was/ am obsessed would be an understatement. That is how much I wanted these shoes... and in the end, I had to let them go.

Wedding Shoes, Should I Splurge?
So while I am not skewing Prim and Propah all wedding crazy like, I think this is probably a post every gal can relate to... and it revolves around shoes! I have been thinking a lot about what I want to wear on my wedding day and while the dress is obvi uber important, I am starting to lean towards really splurging on a pair of designer shoes for my big day (and of course get some wear out of them afterwards).
So since I rarely spend big money on clothes and shoes... maybe the occasional handbag, but i think if I splurge for anything, why not some absolutely fabulous shoes! Ugh... oh the options!
All these are in my top as options. I know that some of them seem out of the norm but my wedding shoes are going to be something that I will cherish forever plus I am not going to be an average bride. These are all gorgeous and worthy adversaries.
There is one pair of shoes that I cannot help but be smitten with and of course, cannot stop thinking about. Remember this post about Jessica Biel's shoes? If anyone EVER sees these shoes anywhere, you please let me know... I have tried to locate which Valentino collection they are from to determine when they will hit the market but so far, I am left empty handed. I am just obsessed and would probably work my colors around them haha.

What do you think of my picks? Are any of them splurge worthy?
