Wedding Shoes, Should I Splurge?

So while I am not skewing Prim and Propah all wedding crazy like, I think this is probably a post every gal can relate to... and it revolves around shoes! I have been thinking a lot about what I want to wear on my wedding day and while the dress is obvi uber important, I am starting to lean towards really splurging on a pair of designer shoes for my big day (and of course get some wear out of them afterwards).

So since I rarely spend big money on clothes and shoes... maybe the occasional handbag, but i think if I splurge for anything, why not some absolutely fabulous shoes! Ugh... oh the options!

Valentino Peep Toe Lace Pumps, Miu Miu Glitter-Heel Patent Pump, Jimmy Choo Crown Glitter Platform Pump

Lanvin Laser- Heel Ankle Wrap Pump, Christian Louboutin Patent Rolando Pump, Giuseppe Zanotti Metal-Plate T-Strap Wedge Sandal
All these are in my top as options. I know that some of them seem out of the norm but my wedding shoes are going to be something that I will cherish forever plus I am not going to be an average bride. These are all gorgeous and worthy adversaries.

There is one pair of shoes that I cannot help but be smitten with and of course, cannot stop thinking about. Remember this post about Jessica Biel's shoes? If anyone EVER sees these shoes anywhere, you please let me know... I have tried to locate which Valentino collection they are from to determine when they will hit the market but so far, I am left empty handed. I am just obsessed and would probably work my colors around them haha.

What do you think of my picks? Are any of them splurge worthy?

  1. Very cool!!!!!!!  I wish I could wear shoes like that, but my feet would hurt after about 5 minutes in those :)  I think it's good to pick out some things you would like to splurge on and do it if it will really make you happy.  We splurged on photography and also a make-up person to come to the house to do my hair and make-up.  But we chose beer and tacos for the meal and I got an off the rack dress at Macy's.  Everyone has the things that are important to them, and that's what will make your wedding uniquely you! :)

  6. The Louboutins and the Zanottis are my favorites, and both would be incredibly wearable after your wedding day. The Zanotti wedge might make for slightly more foot-happy post-ceremony celebrations. But, really, how could you go wrong with any of those?

  8. I love the Valentino peep toe with the bow. I recently saw a bridal shoot with nude peep toes and it was so elegant. If I wore shoes for my wedding I was planning on the splurge, but the sparkle-y Steve Madden wedges I had bought didn't even make it down the sandy path.

I also think that the nude colors would be more versatile post-wedding. Although this girl loves a sparkle for any ol' reason.

hey i've found your blog through your comment on my blog http://lureofthedarkside.blogspot.com/
about kelly clarkson and her curvy beautiful body, i too support  curvy bodies and loving your body as it is and i am glad you agree. (p.s i see that you are not a fan of kim kardashian well nor am i but we have to agree but she supports her curvy body without making an effort to loose all her curves and be thin as size zero).
thank you so much for following me i now return of course the favor and as i am not a person that goes for follow me and i'll follow you type of things but likes to check out a blog before she follows and love it and then follow i have to admit that i love your blog and i'll comment to each and every post of yours.
back to your topic i think that wedding shoes are one of the most important things in a wedding and apart of being comfy (you don't want your legs to hurt that day) its always nice if u can rewear them instead of shoving them into your closet after the ceremony,
i personally love all your shoe selections so far and i think that you should spend your money for such an important day and especially if u are going to rewear them.

as for the valentino ones i've searched the web about them but nobody seems to know which season it comes from. it may be spring-summer 2012 valentino but i didn't see it on the runway.
I have a friend working in a valentino store and i'll ask her to check it out for you, if you want.
*just message me on my blog and tell me if you want my friend to check out their lists for this particular shoe. i'll just email her and ask her the favor.
i would give you the email but its hard to ask her such a favor without knowing her you know how strict their are.
best of luck in your searching i wish.
feel free to check out and comment on my blog anytime u want i love comments.
    bye
