Mani Monday, Oscar Inspired

Last week's Oscars left some wishing there was more fashion goodness to go around but I am able to look at every aspect of an ensemble, from the dress to the jewelry to the makeup, hair and manicure. There were some classic beauty looks on the red carpet as well as some somewhat funky looks but I found that most ladies that I saw, kept it very classic, clean and "at home" doable.

I took a little inspiration from Miss Jennifer Garner and went with a slightly berry looking manicure this week. I happened to have been delayed at the Seattle Tacoma Airport a couple of weeks ago. Much to my delight, while I was exploring with my extra 3 hours, there was a BUTTER London salon on site, apparently the only one of it's kind. I felt very lucky to get pampered before a 6 hour flight, got an amazing mani and was also talked into a pretty good deal on polish and the fixings for my at home nail work. What I grabbed worked out perfect for my Oscar inspired mani.

Butter London 3 Free Nail Lacquer in Pistol Pink, $15, Butter London Hardwear PD Quick Topcoat, $19, Butter London Flawless Basecoat, $19, Butter London Powder Room Lacquer Remover, $8

Another set of manis that was not lost on me, was the natural/nude/minimalist mani as seen on Gaga, Anne Hathaway, Lupita, Kelly Osbourne and more. Always a safe bet, the neutral mani is always in my rotation, whether for every day or for all the awards shows that I am invited to.

I think my next mani after my Pistol Pink will have to be a deep berry color like Kerry Washington and Emma Watson rocked on the red carpet. The weather is still cold and the Winter is still here, so I should rock this mani while I still have time to.
