A Look at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

I know not everyone gets the chance to experience fashion week so I thought I would show some behind the scenes stuff, the exciting and the not so exciting haha. Being that this was my first ever Fashion Week (and hopefully not my last), I was totally interested in the things that industry professionals consider the "same ol' same ol'" so I am sure there are some who would be interested too!

This is outside Lincoln Center where the majority of the shows are held. You can see all designers who had shows flying this week. It was actually pretty impressive how this entire area was devoted to people dressed to the nines and girls handing you issues of WWD and Daily. I knew for sure I was seeing Improvd and Nanette Lepore.

Inside the initial tent, there were obviously gratuitous Mercedes hanging out, some really cool journalist/blogger/photographer areas, all the Free Fiji water and Arizona Ice Teas you could drink, a Mabelline lounge, Pop Up TRESemme Hair Salon, Rowenta Iron on Station, and a lot of great people watching. (see upcoming post on people watching/chasing)

Guest services adorned with beautiful flowers, screens tell you which shows are where and in the main lobby there are multiple screens where you can view the show that is currently going on. I watched Tibi and Michael Kors shows this way. All in all, while I was initially really impressed with the whole shebang, the allure of the room wore off and it was just a room filled with working photographers, bloggers and writers, simply doing their job... but I am not knocking it. It was sure fun.
