Reason that I Like to Spend Time at The Street

Recently, I have the awesome opportunity to spend a lot of time at The Street. I'm sure you've seen some of my Insta snaps of people, places and things, all from The Street in Chestnut Hill. I'll be honest, I don't live super convenient to Chestnut Hill and normally, I would scoff at the idea of driving on Route 9 but The Street? Well, The Street is worth the trip. I have headed out there for all manner of their Summertime at The Street events and each one was a success on it's own. There is something for everyone and I have really, honestly and truly, developed a super crush on this shopping center. Weird? Yes. But true? Yes.

Date night: I went on a date, with my husband, which in and of itself, is a modern day miracle. We met up with Alex and her hubs Craig, we laid out a picnic dinner from Davio's, listened to Damn Tall Buildings on The Green and then enjoyed some tasty libations at The Cottage's outdoor patio. Beautiful weather, a little alcohol, live music and my baby Daddy... it was such a lovely evening and I was able to reconnect with my husband while not running after a toddler. That's a nice.

Kids Day: I picked the little nut up from daycare a little early because we wanted to see what the Dr. Seuss Calm Crafts and Kids Yoga combo was all about. #1 If I was staying at home full time with my little child, which may be in my future if we are blessed with more wonder buns, I would make it a point to go to events like this on a regular basis. What better way to make sure your child/ren sleep through the night than to let them run around, having fun with other kids! #2 What a great place to meet other people with children. As I have mentioned before, I like to talk about kids so this was a win for me. We had such a fun day, even though yoga with about 40 kids didn't go quite as the instructors had planned, I'm sure hah.

Girls Day: You can't let rain put a damper on a pre-planned girls day... The Street feels that way too. We had originally planned to do yoga on The Green, which is run by lululemon every Sunday morning... Sunday came and so did the torrential downpour of rain from the gloomy grey skies.... so lululemon opened their doors to us and we did yoga in their digs. It was way more amazing than I guess I was prepared to give lululemon credit for. I definitely earned the midday drinks and burger that we had at our very fun brunch at Davio's. Yes, it was still raining when we were done but what better way to spend a rainy day then with your girls, throwing back some drinks after stretching your bods together.

Shopping: It's hard to choose my favorite shops at The Street and while I have not visited them all, there are stops that I definitely make when I'm there. David's Tea, Polarn O. Pyret and Ku de Ta were stops on my last trip... I gave the man a birthday hint and he may or may not have picked up a dreamy Hamsa hand necklace that I had my peepers on. Speaking of shopping, I am headed back to The Street next Saturday, August 1st for their first Sidewalk Sale! *fist pump*
