Yes, I know that the nuptials have come and gone but you didn't think I was going to leave you in the lurch about some of my wedding crafts did you? What turned out to be on of my bigger wedding crafting endeavors was that art of decoupaging. I used this technique on my card box, on some of my votive candles and also created table numbers using the same crafty goodness. Yes, it was a smidgen messy but I firmly believe that a little mess never hurts anyone, especially when it's cleaned up... which I just did this week haha. Anyhoo, want to check out my decoupage goodness?

Wedding Crafting, Flower Votives
The other day I had a mini panic attack. It wasn't just about wedding decor but it was about the fact that I hadn't crafted any of my wedding decor. I claim to be Miss Crafty-Pants but I hadn't done anything more than shopping for shabby chic decor for my wedding tables. Well, I decided that wasn't me so I obviously took to Pinterest for inspiration. Afterall, I had been pinning things this whole wedding planning experience but hadn't put anything to good use. That was when I was reminded of a craft that I had seen on Dollar Store Crafts. She had compiled some of her favorite wedding craft finds over time and I was immediately drawn to these Rose Votive Candle Holders from Two Crafty Mules. I am not one to follow tutorials exactly so here is my take on the candle holders. You'll have to let me know what you think!

Wedding Ideas
So as we creep into June (well in a couple days), I am inspired to think more about my wedding that is to happen January 5th, 2013. A "Winter" wedding, I have tons of ideas swirling around in my head about what I want to do, how I want to decorate, what colors I want to use... and the list goes on. One thing that has been hard to relay to people, mainly the man and those who would be involved with the actual set up, is what my "vision" actually is. I know that I want a Vintage wedding, but vintage can go many ways. My friend Nathalie is getting married in September and she is having her wedding at this very vintage venue but more glamorous vintage, like stained glass windows, dark woodwork glamorous. We are having our wedding in an old town meeting house and the party in a fancy barn. I would think this falls into the "Rustic" Vintage/ Shabby Chic, genre. This is very hard to explain to a man. I am hoping this post will prove to garner some opinions from you folks and also give the man an idea of where my mind is at.
