Emmy Fashion 2014, Black, White and the Between
I will admit that I did not watch the Emmy's... I have a 3 month old that requires me to go to bed somewhat earlier than I did pre-baby... but that didn't stop me from watching the red carpet and ooohing and aaaahing at some of the looks I loved. A lot of the coverage called the color of the night, RED, but I'm sorry, January Jones' red Prabal Gurung number was NOT a favorite of mine (but everyone else loves it?). What I loved more than any pops of color were the successes in the form of black, white and the somewhat in between! Checkout what I am talking about.

Best and Worst Dressed, Academy Awards 2014
I really didn't intend on watching the entire Academy Awards ceremony last night but, eh, I did... and I am certainly glad that I did because Lordy, Bette Midler belted out Wind Beneath My Wings and myself, along with the rest of the world, shed a tear over our joint memories of weeping over Beaches. But in any event, before the event, I was watching the red carpet for my favorite and least favorite looks of the evening. I have to say that I was a smidge disappointed with the selection I had to choose from this year but I managed to pull through ;-)
Best
Olivia Wilde in Valentino- Not only does this dress have a 60's/Mod like vibe to it but dang girl, you look so amazingly beautiful and pregnant that I cannot stand it. She is a vision of loveliness. Dress is simple but really, her best accessory is that baby bump, which she wears so well.

Best and Worst Dressed, Golden Globes 2014
Last night's Golden Globe awards were hilarious and full of honest moments. I really enjoyed staying up past my bedtime to see all the funny bits and actually know who the winners are before the lists come out in the morning. Obvi, while I watched the awards, I was compiling all of my favorite and not so favorite looks from the night. There were some real winners but oddly enough, I felt like there were some stellar actresses that were so poorly dressed! Bad clothes happened to such good people this year... anyhoo, let me just show you my faves and nots! Be sure to weigh in on yours too!
Best
Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren, my number one top pick of the night. That color with her complexion... she looks so stunning. Though reminiscent of Gwyneth's Tom Ford number from something or other, it really is something to behold. I would be surprised if she didn't show up on every single best dressed list today.
Kate Mara in J. Mendel, this may not be every one's cup of tea but something about her new hair color and the way that this dress is draped has made this one of my top picks. Cleavage like that doesn't hurt either!
Emma Watson in Dior Couture, puh-lease girl, this is no simple red dress... are those pants under there? Is it the illusion of pants? Will we ever know? One thing is for certain, Emma looks stunning and effortless.
