eShakti is Just My Size

As I sit here writing this blog post, I am looking at a pile of clothes that I plan to give to Salvation Army. This is a normal thing for me, to always have a trash bag, sitting near our laundry space, waiting for me to find clothes that I just don't see myself wearing any more. Some are well worn, for sure, but the majority of the clothes I am giving away just never fit that great. You know what I am talking about, right? You order a shirt online and just loooooved it but when it got home, it didn't look quite as you imagined but nevertheless you kept it in case something changed? Yeah, that's me.

Enter eShakti, which just happens to such an amazing concept. Here's the deal: You go onto eShakti.com and you choose the item of clothing you want to order. Theeeeeen, you can alter it before it ships to you. Are you a shorty like me? Well, then get your dress hemmed accordingly. Do you like long sleeves instead of sleeveless? Well, add some sleeves sistah! Where else can you get your clothes customized before you actually get them? All styles come in all sizes 0-36W, with customization. Seems to me like eShakti has hit a wide demographic that most retailers struggle with hitting.

eShakti  gave me the opportunity to try out the process myself, so of course I was game.  I am a lover of dresses since they are so easy to pull an outfit around. eShakti has absolutely lovely dresses, a lot of which have a very vintage feel but classic so you can pull it off all modern day stylie. I leaned toward this printed, sleeveless dress. It was the print that got me. I imagined it being inspired by the 80's but clean and modern enough to not look chintzy. Add that sassy collar and I was smitten. When going to order it, I was given the option of putting in my size as well as my height, and also the choice of dress length ( or where I want the dress to fall). I chose a work appropriate length just so I could keep this in a steady rotation. It has a lower cut but I plan to wear a cami under it under those circumstances. Here take a look:

Anyhoo, since I know you guys can't wait to try eShakit yourself and since, I know all of you are thinking about what to wear to those holiday partays in our future, I put together some of my fave dresses from eShakti right now! I think they have done a great job of thinking about all different body types and personal styles so that all the ladies can find something perfect that fits like a dream. From brocades to sparkly touches, I think we could all find something suitable and CLASSY to wear for a holiday night out!

  4. I've tried eShakti, and I wasn't very impressed with the final product. I had to wait over a month to receive my dresses, and when they arrived the fit wasn't that great. I wasn't impressed with the materials either :( Love their styles, but at least for the first go-round I was less than impressed. :(
