Obsession Alert: Swoonworthy Boots for Fall

The weather just took a turn, a turn for the chilly. Just last weekend, I was walking outside and nearly got heatstroke and this week we dipped down into the 50's ad 60's. While there are many things I will miss about Summer, I am totally looking forward to boots season again. I love my classic riding boots but one thing my shoe closet is seriously lacking are some lower height bootie goodness and before I pulled the trigger on a new pair (or three), I thought I would map them all out from versatile and classic to colorful and interesting. Outfit Post: IFFBoston Style + Instagrams

This past weekend, the man and I took in some independent films at IFFBoston which is our local film festival, held every April. We always try to take in at least one movie a year, sometimes two. This year, we made a day of it to take in the Documentary Shorts package, featuring the South Street Diner screening of the lovely Melissa Dowler (and her hubby) whom I met at the Boston Bloggers event and another favorite of ours, Cat Cam.

Anyhoo, we spent the day checking out some movies, doing a little shopping and drinking beers, many, many beers. So what did I wear this whole time? Well, I am certainly glad that you asked. I brought my camera and forced the man to take outfit post pictures while we were out and about. I am 100% positive that he was embarrassed but I did not care.

Did Betsey Johnson Bring Clueless Back?

Betsey Johnson's Fall/Winter RTW 2012 show debuted last week. It was classic Betsey; fun, fanciful, flirty and a little wild. I have read reviews of her newest collection and everyone is getting pretty much the same vibe: pumped up 60's mod with a futuristic edge. I totally agree with those reviews but you know what I also see? Clueless, early 90's Clueless. Fashion from the movie Clueless (starring a one Miss Alicia Silverstone and the hunkalicious Paul Rudd) has hopped in a time machine and asked Miss Betsey Johnson for another chance.
