Father's Day the Harbor Way

Yesterday was our first Father's Day celebrating with a child who was up for a good time! We didn't let the torrential downpour stop us from heading into Boston to grab some cold beers and some delicious food on the water; + we were also spontaneous (more on that later!). We landed at The Barking Crab early afternoon to check out their new deck set up. We were met with one of my favorite sights when we have the baby with us... other families! I breathed a sigh of relief that if my child wanted to be a fun loving, french fry eating baby, then he was welcome to do so at TBC.

There were lots of great options but we settled crispy fried food (calamari, crab cakes and whole belly clams) and cold beers. We shared picnic tables with other families celebrating Father's Day, which was something I have never done but I would gladly do again. We were all enjoying the casual atmosphere and matched with the quick + friendly service, there was nothing really to worry about. The only thing I wish had been different was the rain but as soon as it let up, the breeze started rolling in and we could really appreciate where we were. If you're ever in Boston, want some yummy seafood at a fun loving place, the Propah family would recommend The Barking Crab.

We had such a good time at lunch, and since the rain had stopped, we decided to make an impromptu stroll up to the Boston Children's Museum. TBC is in the perfect location to take a quick five minute walk up the harbor way in Fort Point. We aren't spontaneous all that often any more so you can bet your baby that we were patting ourselves on the back after this Father's Day jaunt!
