Let's Stop and Refocus for a Moment, Shall We?
This year, Prim and Propah turns 5 years old. Geesh, this blog has been one of the great commitments of my life. I kept my dog and cat alive for 7 and 8 years, respectively. I've gotten married, bought a house and had a child. All pretty committed commitments... but this blog. This blog could have fizzled out but it didn't. This has definitely been an outlet for me over the years. It has been strong and robust at times but has also had slightly anemic periods where it was on life support, whether due to lack of time or focus or energy. But here she is, 5 years later (in June) and she's still kicking. Like my life over the past few years, this blog has shifted. What I want to talk about is somewhat different and what is important to me is changing in direction... so it's time to refocus and with that shift, a redesign.

Amy from Creative Soul Spectrum Shows Us How to Make DIY Pinecone Mobile, a Guest Post
Oh heyyy Prim and Propah readers! I'm Amy from Creative Soul Spectrum! After last year's DIY infinity scarf post, I'm so
happy to be back here guest posting again! I know how much you guys love
a good DIY project, so I've got another one for you today. This one
involves my favorite thing: gold spray paint. Seriously, once I purchase
a can of gold spray paint, nothing in my house is safe. This time, pine
cones were on the receiving end of my obsession. I wanted to make a
holiday decoration that was a little out of the ordinary, so along with
the gold spray paint and pine cones, I used twine, white spray point,
frog tape, and a branch to make a pinecone mobile.

New Design by Creative Soul Spectrum
So by now you have probably noticed that I have a slightly new look here at Prim and Propah. About a month ago, I was chatting with my girl, Amy of Creative Soul Spectrum, about how she works with her ads and Passionfruit. She was a helpful little bunny in giving me some information and we got to chatting about how I don't actually have ads designed for my blog. That's when Amy offered her services to create some custom ads for the ol' blog. I jumped at the chance and asked her while we were at it, if she could help me spruce up the look of the blog as well. I knew that she designed her own Blogger blog, so I trusted she would do a stellar job with mine... and I was right. The process was fun, Amy was a great listener and my end result is a sleeker look and more focused side bar.
