Kickin' My Butt with New Activewear
This past weekend I was super fortunate to get the opportunity to get my butt kicked at a spin class courtesy of Flywheel Boston and Marshalls. I say fortunate with a little bit of hesitance since while I was peddling away on my spin stationary bike, I was cursing my life... but at the end of the day, I got a killer workout, with some killer folks in a killer outfit. Let me start at the very beginning... The #propahbaby and I headed out to my local Marshalls (also a HomeGoods, BONUS) to get some new workout clothes. This is a new year, and as cliche as it sounds, I want to get fit and lose that baby weight. As hard as it is to get to the gym or to yoga, it's that much harder when I feel like a frumpy dumpster. The other day, I legit wore my maternity yoga pants because I didn't have anything else clean. While those pants are comfy, for sure, they don't really make me feel like I am ready to conquer the world. The lil' dude and I took to the activewear, dividing and conquering. What I came home with was a whole lot of new gear that I can wear to yoga, to spin, to drop the babe at daycare and everything in between.

Outfit Post: I'm Thrifty
I always like to boast about a good deal that I get, even if that deal is from a thrift shop or vintage clothes boutique. If it's a steal, it's a steal! Just this past weekend, the man was out of town so what better to do with my time than to take a trip to the Salvation Army a few towns over and much larger than my local joint. I came home with lots of goodies to wear and also to re-purpose. You can get so many interesting and somewhat outdated prints at a thrift store that you can bring right back up to speed if you really want to funk up your style. This outfit was pretty thrifty, so I am pretty proud.

Outfit Post: My New (Old) Denim Jacket
My mother and I live states and states away from one another but when we get together, there is always one thing that we must be sure to do... go thrifting. We have our favorite spots in NC ( a Goodwill close to her house) and of course our old stomping grounds in MA (a couple of Salvation Army's and The Garment District). As you can imagine, when she was up this past week, we had to hit up ol' Salvation Army in Gardner Mass after we had lunch with my Grandma. This particular day, we made out like bandits because us thrifty gals, picked our goods up for pretty much 50% off everything. My pride and joy of the day? A GAP jean jacket that I estimate is from around 2004 (yes, I can guesstimate a season). Don't fret about this not being in style. I am making this jacket a new Summer staple, you just wait and see.
