Outfit Post: Hanes my Way this Spring

Here in New England the weather is, well, less than predictable. Last week we had one day where it was pushing 70 degrees and then look, the past two days it's been really chilly and rainy and gross. So as you can imagine, it's tough to put away your "Winter clothes" on a specific date because it can be cool all the way into May. I happen to think a great way to transition from Winter into Spring is the old stand by, tights and now pantyhose. I was lucky enough to be able to try some of Hanes new styles but rather than go with something I always gravitate to, tights, I thought I would try to style some pantyhose. I mean, if they are good enough for royalty in England, they are good enough for me ;-)

Due to my fair skin, the Control Top Silky Sheer in Nude was the perfect style for me, and I just say that wearing these silky pantyhose made me feel sassy and a little less pasty. This time of year, I am most certainly at my palest so a little extra boost never hurt anyone. In addition to that, I have a fondness for control top... well, because I like I little control over my curves if you know what I mean. I must say that though I thought I had an aversion to pantyhose, but I now know that I do not. They just needed another chance in my adult life.

I wore these with both a pair of flats and boots in the same day, both fitting perfectly with the look. With a nip in the air, I was still able to wear my fave RRR dress and chambray goodness while not freezing my buns off. I even did some activities, like running errands and throwing the ball around with the dog; all this with the movement and ease that I would expect from awesome pantyhose.

Hanes has a respectful brand recognition and at these prices (all under $6.00), I don't see why you wouldn't want to add a few pairs of tights and pantyhose to your arsenal. They even have thigh highs for those interested in thems goodies. I am going to wear mine whenever the fancy strikes me, which I anticipate to be very often in these transitional Spring months!

What do you think of the Hanes 24/7? Does it compliment your style?

  2. I feel you on the weather situation. I am in CT. I haven't needed to wear pantyhose for years but when I was working in a traditional off, I wore Hanes. They are so silky and smooth.

  6. I have never been a pantyhose kind of girl either so that's why I thought I would give them a try. I am more a tights kind of girl.
