To Tommy from Zooey, a Surprising Surprise

When I first heard that Zooey Deschanel was working on a capsule collection for Tommy Hilfiger, I was kind of "meh" about the whole thing. Though I love Zooey long time, I have never really been a huge Tommy Hilfiger fan. Tommy is arguably an all American brand with brand recognition and longevity on it's side, for sure... so there is no lack of respect there. Of course, I had to check the clothes out due to said respect and once I did? I was sort of smitten.

There is most definitely a nautical feel to the collection, which I know will make Summer and beach loving kids happy happy. This also has a very signature Tommy Hilfiger feel to it... and Mama likes. My absolute favorite dress is the spotted printed blouse dress, which retails for $170. I love the vintage shirt dress feel with the modern fabric. Though this is a little more than I would spend on something I wouldn't consider a "staple", I really am drawm to it. Other faves? The crisp white cowl neck dress, perfect for a Summer cocktail party and the pleated dress, a little bit of a school girl feel but so sophisticated. I am seriously considering grabbing the blouse dress before it's gone, though this lovely lady/baby bump won't be gone for two months (or more! *sadface*)
