Pre-Natal Yoga with

For the past few weeks I have been partaking in prenatal yoga through my local hospital. It is quite a new experience for me, not because I have never done yoga before but because yoga is completely different when you have a growing belly, no balance whatsoever and tire super easily. The last "round" of yoga that I participated in was Bikram and let's just say that it doesn't lend itself to being a good idea for the pregnant woman. I miss it so am all in with the relaxing prenatal yoga. That being said, I still really enjoy yoga and obviously, still enjoy cute yoga clothes... and yes, there are still yoga clothes out there that fit my body! was kind enough to help me keep flexible, well as flexible as possible, while still looking pretty cute while doing it.

Felt Dogs by Mitsuki Hoshi aka Teaching Myself Needle Felting

When I was in a couple of my design classes at Mass Art, one of my buds Clare was always using this awesome felting technique in her designs. She was self taught (I believe) and assured us that it wasn't that difficult to learn. I am not one who is usually a huge fan of wool but when Laurence King Publishing offered me the opportunity to take a peek at Felt Dogs by Mitsuki Hoshi before it's release in mid March, well I couldn't resist the chance to put another tool in my design/crafty tool box.

Spring Wishful Thinking, Give Me Sandals or Give me Sandals

I know that I am not the only one who is itching MAJORLY for warm weather. I am heading to North Carolina tomorrow night to visit family and I am so looking forward to a few days in the 60s and low 70s. I have some of my best sandals and open toed shoes packed for the excursion... but in packing my favorite wardrobe staples, I was left thinking about all the sandals I have seen floating around my social media feeds and popping up in my online shopping searches. I think it's time to start thinking about what my go to Spring and Summer sandals will be, so I have compiled my favorites right now. What look are you going for, come the warm weather?

If anyone is looking to get me a present, I wear a size 7 as a rule ;-)

ASOS Helps Me Rock My Maternity Style

I think maternity clothes have come a long way since our Mothers were sporting their smocks that served one purpose... covering the bump. All sorts of retailers are starting to offer their take on what the modern woman wants to wear while pregnant and growing, some more successful than others. One of my favorites by far? It's ASOS Maternity. Not only do they have my ever favorite affordability factor but they have the style that we have come to know and love from ASOS.

Let's Talk Body Image in Pregnancy Town

I don't know about anyone else who is or has been pregnant but one of my biggest struggles in this whole "adventure" is the fact that I feel totally and utterly unattractive ALL.THE.TIME. now. I get it. I am creating a beautiful life inside this body and of course, with that miracle, comes lots of changes in the ol' body. Although I logically understand what is going on with my body, the extra chunk on top of what was already there and now the urge to feed this body more than usual... it's tough to come to grips with what I see when I look in the mirror. It's depressing. One day I will look at myself and say "yep, you look pregnant" and then other days all I see is a fat blob masquerading as a pregnant woman.

Popchips and KitchenSurfing Event + a Challenge

This past week, I attended a super fun (and yummy) event at Workbar in Cambridge, MA. Blog and Tweet Boston threw it in conjunction with KitchenSurfing and PopChips. What was the deal? Well, it was a cooking competition of sorts. KitchenSurfing and PopChips challenged some local chefs to create yummy tidbits using PopChips. The results? Well, they were pretty, pretty surprising but most importantly they were pretty, pretty tasty.

Mani Monday, Oscar Inspired

Last week's Oscars left some wishing there was more fashion goodness to go around but I am able to look at every aspect of an ensemble, from the dress to the jewelry to the makeup, hair and manicure. There were some classic beauty looks on the red carpet as well as some somewhat funky looks but I found that most ladies that I saw, kept it very classic, clean and "at home" doable.

Best and Worst Dressed, Academy Awards 2014

I really didn't intend on watching the entire Academy Awards ceremony last night but, eh, I did... and I am certainly glad that I did because Lordy, Bette Midler belted out Wind Beneath My Wings and myself, along with the rest of the world, shed a tear over our joint memories of weeping over Beaches. But in any event, before the event, I was watching the red carpet for my favorite and least favorite looks of the evening. I have to say that I was a smidge disappointed with the selection I had to choose from this year but I managed to pull through ;-)

Olivia Wilde in Valentino- Not only does this dress have a 60's/Mod like vibe to it but dang girl, you look so amazingly beautiful and pregnant that I cannot stand it. She is a vision of loveliness. Dress is simple but really, her best accessory is that baby bump, which she wears so well.

Saturday, March 1, 2014, Sassy Deal Site

I was recently introduced to a girly little deal site called At first, I was like "Eh, another daily deal site... do we need one?". This one is kind of special. There isn't extravagant merchandise, as in something that would break the bank, but there are cute little goodies that you can grab for nieces and nephews or a sweet add on to a friend's birthday gift. From accessories to doo dads, there is something for all of us sassy girls who need a sweet little pick me up with spending a million dollars. I won't check out the site every day, since the deals usually last a couple of days, but I'll definitely be checking in once in awhile or when I need a little something special.
