Nanette Lepore and Popsugar Event, Boston

It's no secret that I adore Lepore... Nanette Lepore. When I got the email from Popsugar that asked me to RSVP for an event to shop at the Nanette Lepore's Boston boutique, while Nanette Lepore was on site, well let's just say, I wasted no time. It was like the stars aligned for me on this night of nights. I didn't hit any traffic despite there being a Sox game, I found on street parking on Newbury Street and I was right on time. Perfect!

Popsugar and Kahlua had it all figured out from a rad DJ to signature cocktails, of which I may have had 2! It was easy to shop while the music was blasting and you had a little booze in you... but then I don't need alcohol to do damage when it comes to shopping 'til I am dropping. There were a lot of things I loved, like that Kahlua made a donation to the One Fund and also our shopping benefited the very same, which has helped raise money for the Boston Marathon bombing victims. What I loved most about this event though? Nanette Lepore, NYC based designer, who you know, has fashions shows of the large scale kind... was helping people shop and assisting her Boston staff. What? I was so unbelievably impressed at how interested she was in the people who were there trying on her duds and sending adoring glances her way.

Nanette was a doll and let me chat her up about my first fashion show ever being hers and let me gush a little. She complimented me on my hair, swooon and gave me the OK on my new shoe loves (below). All in all, this was a fantastic night because I combined many of my favorite things into one: shoes, booze and Nanette Lepore. My only regret is not wearing something cuter so that I looked worthy of my photo with her. You live and you learn, people.

What do you think of my new shoes, the booze and my fave designer?

  2. Fabulous! You're even making me miss my hometown of Boston and Newbury Street a little! Those shoes are to die for...I may have to snag a pair.
