Met Ball Beauty 2013

Hi guys, I know I tweeted last night that I didn't care about Met Ball fashion and that is still very, very true buuuuut I have to say that I was quite smitten with some of the beauty choices that the ladies made last night. From sassy hair to interesting makeup, I compiled some of my favorite looks and also some of my fave ways to achieve those looks, if I even know how! Guh, what do you think?

Guys, I am pretty sure that I think I might be contemplating a perm after seeing Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry last night. I really think that the Punk theme of the Met Ball, left a lot of celebs struggling to grasp onto something different and while neither of their looks scream "punk", these ladies most certainly did not play it save with these voluminous curls, that I am most certainly crushing upon.

Some would say that Nicole Richie really pulled out the stops last night. The white hair, the edgy dress and jewelry, and she capped that all off with a perfectly plum lip. Minka Kelly also brought it last night though I feel bad I put them next to one another. Minka paled in comparison. Props to Nicole.

My girl Kelly Osbourne and Emmy Rossum both embraced a great cat eye for the event. Emmy's makeup artist used a dark shadow while it seems like Kelly's use more of a liquid liner to get the desired effect. I, myself, prefer a liquid liner and I do love that she used the the liner on the inside of her eyes too. She really is starting to become a woman that I look towards and admire beauty-wise.

Try a bright shadow like the pinky shadow that Emily Blunt and Kristen Stewart rocked last night. While you're add it, you might as well experiment with other bright colors, too. The e.l.f. Bright eye shadow set has 144 different shades, a lot of which are very exciting hues. At this price, you won't break the bank trying new colors.

A classic red with a twist; Gwen Stefani and Miley Cyrus "rocked" a fierce red lip but when styled like a punk rock star, the red sort of takes on a new edge, does that make sense? Any way you slice it, I have always been a huge fan of the red lip on almost anyone. I am also a hug fan of Revlon Lip Butter. It goes on thick, which to me, makes for a richer color. I do also find that the color lasts a good amount of time, though not all day. In any event, the Lip Butter in Red Velvet is the route I would choose, and have...

Anne Hathaway and obviously, Ginnifer Goodwin, had some really dramatic eye makeup. From fake lashes to heavy liner and dark shadows, these were not doubt hits when they hit the red carpet. I have to applaud Ginnfer being willing to take a turn to the dark side. Not only is her new, short do really edgy, I am really excited that she really tried something new at the gala event.
Sonia Kashuk Full Volume Eye Lashes, $4.99, CoverGirl LashBlast Luxe Mascara, $24.00, Studio Gear Cake Eyeliner in Black, $15.00 (Use Prim13 to receive 10% off Studio Gear), Rimmel Eye Shadow Quad in Noir, $6.00

What was your favorite beauty look from the Met Ball last night?
